About the art
Artist statement
Contemporary turquoise and green painting of Venus floating on a dolphin in the sea against the backdrop of an erupting volcano and taking a selfie. She was just about to make her smiling portrait when the viewer interrupted her and she casts an indignant look.
I always pay special attention to the process of preparing the canvas for painting and the materials I use. For this painting, I used a durable 100% linen canvas. The edges of the painting are painted white and have no holes from the staples, so the painting can be stretched onto a stretcher using the gallery wrap method, in which case the frame is not necessary. The painting is shipped removed from the canvas and rolled up in a tube to ensure safe transportation.
