Artist statement
"The flow of the river never stops, yet the water is never the same. The bubbles that float on the stagnant water disappear and form again, but never remain for long."

For the past few years, these words have come to mind whenever I look at the surface of the water.
War, massacres, epidemics, natural disasters, environmental destruction. The world that surrounds us today is similar to the era in which Kamo no Chomei lived.
I go for walks and gaze at the surface of the water for a while to calm my mind and calm the waves in my heart.
I wanted to create a piece that would allow people to look at the surface of the water and reset their minds in the same way.
