Artist statement
"Concept of "Hikari no Ikebana" (Flower Arrangement of Light):
Inspired by the shape of sandbags suspended by gravity in the design of the spires of Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Familia, glass was melted at 800 degrees Celsius and allowed to hang by gravity on copper molds to create a glasswork resembling the shape of "Sound of Ikebana." This glasswork was then combined with lighting technology to create "Hikari no Ikebana."
