About the art
Artist statement
In my artwork, I've poured my fascination with the serene beauty of oriental art, blending impressionism's play of light and shadow with a figurative homage to the spirit of tranquility. Employing acrylics, I crafted a gateway enveloped in a dreamy, ethereal atmosphere, evoking a sense of peace and mystique. This piece symbolizes an invitation to step into a realm of calm and reflection, bringing a harmonious energy into your space.
this one is painted into the top part of an old teakwood door.
This one was done right after 'analog patterns', the previous one in this albu.
I needed to create something 'recognisable'- a torii.
Yet kept it ambiguous enough.
the 3 bright elements behind the gate I kept mysterious.
The frame is 6 cm wide all around.
