DOLCI EMOZIONI - sospesi 18

A rusty blue lantern, an old-fashioned camera and a white napkin hang from a large hook.
But light is the real star of this work! Light caresses each object giving them splendour, a new chance!
A sweet emotion is to look at them and be carried away by the imagination.


I created this work on a canvas, I treated the background and coloured it with a sugar-paper blue, traced the outline of the painting with chalk and only then did I start painting with oil colours.
I use oil colour by overlaying many thin layers of appropriately diluted colour to create the effects I want.
Once perfectly dry, I finished the surface with a final coat of varnish to make it UV-resistant.

SOSPESI is the series I started painting in 2022, with which I wish to reflect on the suspended moments that life places before us and, through art, overcome the barrier of time, to give value to each moment.

The work does not have a frame but is ready to hang.

The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

For shipping outside the EU, we must wait for authorisation from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, which may entail a delay of a few days.
