Artist statement
I painted a wooden spinning top with the colours of my beloved Parma: yellow and blue.
it is balanced and light as a feather, its movement is so elegant that you cannot even feel it.
I made this work on canvas, I treated the background and coloured it with several layers of colour to achieve a unique atmosphere, I traced the outline of the painting with chalk and only then did I start painting with oil colours.
I use oil colours by overlapping many thin layers of appropriately thinned colour to create the effects I want.
Once perfectly dry, I finished the surface with a final coat of varnish to make it UV-resistant.
The work does not have a frame but is ready to hang.
The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Shipments outside the EU will have to wait for authorisation from the Ministry of Culture, which could lead to a delay of a few days.
