About the art
Artist statement
I made this work on a frame, treated the background with chalk mixed with marble dust to create a rough background, coloured it with warm colours and only then did I start painting with oil colours.
I use oil colour by superimposing many thin layers of appropriately diluted colour to create the effects I want.
I have represented some river stones that I am used to collect on all my outings,
I like to imagine that I have caught them in a row on their way to their favourite destination! walk
I finished painting this work in 2005 and it is part of the series I MNEMAGOGHI = memory arousers
The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity
For shipping outside the EU it is necessary to wait for authorisation from the ministry of cultural heritage and this may cause a delay of a few days
