Artist statement
I find it challenging to describe what inspires me to create a specific painting. Something builds up inside and demands expression, usually driven by a strong feeling sparked by what I hear, see, or experience. I have no idea what I will create until I am standing in front of the blank canvas, so the process is entirely intuitive. The title comes to me as the painting nears completion, and if the title ‘feels’ right, I know it's time to stop painting.
