About the art
Artist statement
This picture was painted in early March in a protected forest. At this time, nature wakes up after a winter sleep — the grass turns green, birds sing, the day becomes longer.
The transition from one season to another plays an important role in my work — I can capture the natural shades that are unique to this time. The painting "The Game of orange and purple in the pines" captures all the shades of early spring in the forest: the rich green colors of pines and firs, the orange shades of tree bark and the penetrating purple-the illusion of sun glare.
