About the art
Artist statement
The project was based on the first impression, when I first visited the racecourse in my city, I felt a future topic for myself. Immediately breathtaking power of horses, rushing to the finish line, captures the spirit. In my work I recorded the first spurt, gust, pre-start state. It's important for me to convey the pause, the tension, the energy action, the emergence from the shadow, to reflect the run of time in space. The surface of the canvas resembles a mosaic. Smears are related to each other, but they are separate, from them a rough, homogeneous canvas structure is created. When the side light, the edges of strokes light up, a complex surface is obtained, the color is poured.
