Artist statement
The abandoned sunflowers that were left in the autumn field gave me an idea.
Until recently, these plants shone with gold and rejoiced in the sun's rays. Today they have darkened and bent their heads and stems, broken by winds and rains. But everything will change with the arrival of spring, when sunflowers will fall into the caring hands of ploughmen and get a new life.
We also give up and feel gloomy, dried up and empty on the eve of the most powerful transformation. On the eve of our new life.
