About the art
Artist statement
“Set Me Free” is a mesmerizing abstract painting that captures the ethereal essence of nature’s whispers through a delicate interplay of brown, gold, and white hues. The composition is a dance of fluid forms and organic shapes, evoking the gentle yet persistent presence of the wind as it moves through the world, unseen but deeply felt.
The earthy tones of brown ground the painting, creating a warm, natural foundation that contrasts beautifully with the luminous gold accents. These gold elements shimmer like sunlight filtering through leaves, adding a touch of magic and mystery to the piece. The white spaces act as both a canvas and a breath of fresh air, allowing the colours to breathe and interact freely, enhancing the sense of movement and flow.
“Set Me Free” invites the viewer to pause and reflect, to attune their senses to the subtle currents of life that often go unnoticed. The abstract forms suggest the swirling, unseen patterns of the wind, conveying a sense of both calm and dynamism. This painting is a visual meditation on the power and beauty of nature’s intangible forces, encouraging a deeper connection with the world around us.

About my art:
The world we live in is made of colour. Colour is what creates beauty, and energy. It evokes emotion, it involves feelings. I have always been fascinated with colour and shape. Combining two, you have unlimited possibilities of creating art. But creating art, or painting in my case, goes deeper than putting two of them together. It starts with emotion or feeling and then it “spills out” on canvas. Some of my paintings are impulse paintings where inner emotion takes over and guides my paintbrush, whereas others are journeys, that surprise even myself. Through my paintings I try to express how I see the world and connect with viewers on an emotional level, hoping to capture the moment on canvas.
