About the art
Artist statement
This artwork is titled "Opposing Fronts" signalling the conflicting desires in the realm of innocence. This has been created using palette knife which is one of my favourite tools for impasto technique hence I had a lot of fun making this piece.
The use of bright, bold, contrasting colours & motifs is to cause some visual conflict which generates interest in the viewer . As I derive a ton of inspiration from nature, I would say this artwork is an abstract depiction of my absolute love of nature . I can spend hours alone in a jungle & not care about the world around me, there's so much to observe & absorb. But do we humans have the time to reflect ?
