Artist statement
This painting reflects my journey of introspection during pregnancy, a time I found herself unable to paint and instead turned to philosophy to explore new perspectives on life. The red veil symbolizes the past, while the white veil represents the present. A candle shines as a symbol of newfound knowledge, with the old books holding the wisdom of the past. This work aims to capture the passage of time and the quest for understanding what it means to bring a new life to today.
