Artist statement
Using her body as a source of inspiration for this exhibition, the artist combined embroidery, sculpture and painting to express the reflection of her quest for identity and belonging, constructing imaginative bodyscapes. Here, she uses acrylic on a recycled cotton canvas that she previously embroidered.
