Artist statement
This Limited Edition floral print of a sunflower against a green background is made using archival pigment inks and archival fine-art paper. The flower was grown in the sun-drenched fields of a nearby flower farm during a particularly hot summer in Suffolk, England. The heavy flower is imperfect, which really appealed to Paul when he chose this flower. The stem is slightly bent and the posture of the flower highlights the wildness of the green leaves and the delicate yellow petals as they reach for the sun.
As with all of Paul’s photographs, there is lots of detail to look at and the subtle colours of the flower and background complement each other perfectly.
It is signed and numbered by Paul Coghlin on the front, and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
