About the art
Artist statement
In this picture from my “City Dreams” series, reality and fiction also merge in a surreal cityscape. In the foreground is an abstract cityscape that merges seamlessly into a sea with a coastline behind it. When you look at the picture, your gaze is drawn away from the hectic foreground to the calming horizon. For me, the picture and the title express my longing for peace and nature in the often hectic and stressful city life.
The painting was exhibited in solo exhibitions in Göttingen and Bad Hersfeld in 2023 and at the ARTe Konstmesse in Constance in 2024.
It has a narrow shadow gap frame made of wood glazed in black-blue. Of course, you can also purchase the picture with a different frame color or without a frame at a lower price. In addition, the sides of the picture are painted so that it can also be hung without a frame. The picture is signed on the front and back and is ready to hang. The surface of the picture has a varnish coating with UV protection.
