About the art
Artist statement
I paint my abstract landscapes from my feelings and memories. The pictures, which hover between representationalism and abstraction, invite you to make your own associations and take inner journeys of discovery to places of personal longing. The titles reveal a little of my own associations and feelings during the painting process. Many thin layers of paint and the mixture of acrylic with different materials create greater depth and special light effects. The painting was exhibited in solo exhibitions in Göttingen and Bad Hersfeld in 2023. The sides of the picture are painted so that it can also be hung without a frame. The picture is signed on the front and back.
