About the art
Artist statement
In my surreal cityscapes and streetart pictures, the boundaries between fiction and reality become blurred. These pictures can be thought-provoking and evoke different associations on an emotional level. The titles reveal a little of my own associations and feelings during the painting process. Many thin layers of paint and the mixture of acrylic with different materials create a greater depth and special light effects. The painting was exhibited in solo exhibitions in Göttingen and Bad Hersfeld in 2023 and at the ARTe art fair in Constance in 2024. The sides of the picture are painted so that it can also be hung without a frame. The painting is signed on the front and back.
