Artist statement
This painting was inspired by my regular walks along the coastline when I loose myself in beauty and deep contemplation. With that in mind I painted a rich foreground to set the scene which then takes the viewer right into centre stage; into that in-between place of depth, light and beauty, a beautiful place to lose oneself in. That is was my focus. My joy would be for whoever owns this work to have this experience each time they gaze into it.
