Inspired by scientific drawings of plants and vegetables in history, the artist has used a similar ivory background with a botanical art style to illustrate onions. An onion fairy peeks out through the layers while another is deep asleep. This work is based on the idea of one’s personality being similar to the layers of an onion. The self one shows to the public being the outer layers and the private self being the core.
