Artist statement
Here I am trying to show several very different shapes arranged so they appear to be working together to solve a problem or build something or be friendly so there is harmony with all. Basically it is trying to show the key to a good life. It is also the key to running a good enterprise.
This is a maquette as well as a desk top sculpture. It is designed to be enlarged by a metal fabricator out of flat sheet metal that is cut into patterns like a taylor does with clothes and then bent in a rolling device to put the curves into the forms. If you look at it you can see it is just several interesting boxes that are welded together. It is a lot easier to ship a small piece and then have it enlarged close to where it will be used. Hopefully in front of some organizations building.
