Artist statement
I had no idea how gorgeous the Library would be at the Red Cross in Lisbon, Portugal. The library is housed in a stunning building that was designed by the Portuguese architect Raul Lino. The building is characterized by its neo-Manueline style, which is a combination of late Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements. The interior of the library is equally impressive, with its high ceilings, stained glass windows, and ornate woodwork.
