Artist statement
The Book of Kells is housed in the Old Library of Trinity College Dublin. The Old Library is a beautiful building in the Baroque style, and it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Dublin. The Book of Kells is displayed in the Long Room of the Old Library. The Long Room is a magnificent chamber that is lined with bookshelves, and it is said to be the most beautiful library in the world. As someone who appreciates beautiful libraries this one has been on my list of for many years.
