The artist presents in an abstract way the universality of the lie and its various forms. The paintings painted by Roy van Ecke fit in the style of postpainterly and symbolic abstraction. Abstract painting easily lifts the weight of the subject. The painting forms used allow for interpretation of the complicated matter of lies, creating interesting compositions with a minimalist formula.
