Artist statement
I’m really excited to share my first series of paintings titled ‘shadowsaretime’. Exploring different types of mediums and textures lead me to the use of an oil stick with acrylic paint, creating a unique effect. I decided to apply that effect to create abstract compositions where the shadows were represented by the black oil stick textures.
This piece is called ‘days’, 50x50 cm - acrylic and oil stick on canvas.
