Artist statement
I enjoy capturing fleeting moments in time through long-exposure photography, which creates a beautiful blur effect. The painterly look is achieved using Intentional Camera Movement (ICM).
This image portrays a scene at the harbour in Essaouira, Morocco. The composition features a fisherman working on a traditional blue fishing boat, giving it a surreal quality. The image is rich in colours and dominated by various shades of blue, the vivid blue of the fishing boats and the soft hues of blue from the water. The overall effect creates a sense of motion and energy, emphasizing the peaceful, but also dynamic nature of the scene.
