About the art
Artist statement
This is a black-and-white image captured using a double exposure and the Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) technique, which creates a sense of motion and abstract effects. The photograph depicts horse riders during the renowned Fantasia festival in Morocco.
In this image, the horse riders, adorned in traditional attire, are in dynamic motion, part of the choreographed equestrian performance characteristic of the Fantasia festival. The movement blur effect amplifies the energy and excitement of the scene, with the horses and riders appearing as dynamic, almost ghostly figures. The background also carries streaks and lines, enhancing the overall impression of speed and action. The monochromatic colour scheme adds a timeless and dramatic quality to the visual narrative.
Three print sizes are available as a Limited Edition of 11 each.
Printed on Giclée Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm paper.
