Artist statement
This painting is inspired by a summer walk in an ancient park in the suburbs of St. Petersburg.
A summer day is at its zenith. Bright colors shimmer in the streams of sunlight. A cool river flows lazily, its water reflecting an old graceful bridge. You almost physically feel the sounds and smell of summer. Each of us has our own memories of such a day.
The painting is painted in oil on canvas in impressionistic style, framed and ready for hanging (unframed size 60x60 cm, with frame 66x66 cm).
