Artist statement
This painting is inspired by the old landscape parks of the 18th century suburbs of St Petersburg. You see an idyllic park landscape. The trees are reflected in the quiet mirror of the lake. Evening sunlight creates a magical play of colours and shadows. The painting is reminiscent of the works Art Nouveau artists in its colouring and painting technique.
The painting framed and ready for hanging (unframed size 60x60 cm, with frame 66x66 cm).
