Artist statement
This painting is inspired by the landscapes of 18th century regular parks and the ancient tapestries. You see an idyllic landscape. A shady grotto decorated with antique caryatids overlooks the bosquetas, fountain and strolling public. In the foreground, blue flowering creepers contrast with the golden, sunny background of the bosquetas. You can almost hear the splash of the fountain water and feel the coolness of the grotto.
The picture is painted in decorative-realistic style, framed and ready for hanging (unframed size 60x80 cm, with frame 65x85 cm). If you wish, you can order the painting in a larger size.
