Artist statement
This painting is an abstract landscape reminiscent of nature. The different shades of black and beiges reflect the emotions and movements in nature. The light color in the background symbolizes calm and thus serves as a balance. The focus is on the ockers and small golden touches that appear to lighten up the black.
This reduced color palette shows that nature is always beautiful - no matter what color. The viewer is invited to discover a personal sanctuary, to find his own life and balance. The viewer can understand that there is a light and a hope in the dark.
