Artist statement
Untamed, "Enamored No.1" is full of rhythmic movement an liveliness. This painting is a combination of bright saturated colors, rich textured layers and soft neutrals to evoke the feelings of standing still in the natural world while it shifts around you. Enamored No. 1 explores space in an unconventional way - are you above or below perhaps inside? I also love leaving space ambiguous - its both air and water - 3 dimensional and shallow. This helps push the idea of something 'other than' around in my mind...related yet untethered from academic constructs.
