Artist statement
This is a painting of a peaceful fantasy underwater scene. It's a place where you can let the stress of everyday life melt away, as you immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of a coral reef.
The Sanctuaries paintings are imaginary places under the ocean’s surface. You can slip into the warm, tropical water and leave your worries and the chaos of the world behind. The silence underwater is soothing, and lets you focus on the beauty of the colours and the light around you. Floating, weightless, peaceful.
