From the Alchemy to Chemistry series.
This piece is made with golden ochre and bone black, pigments which have been used since the neolithic era cave paintings across the globe. These natural pigments hold for me the essence of human desire for visual culture right from the start of the emergence of culture. They show how we are interconnected. The form of this piece derives from a river turning, and the idea of life as a non-linear journey.
