Artist statement
Diptych composition from a series of work depicting fragments, like visual haiku, which describe momentary natural impressions, spaces and enigmatic intervals of time.
This work was created while working in Hawaii on the Big Island. The first panel is a bespoke aluminum shell, the second panel is stretched raw canvas.
The panels do not require framing and may be hung together or separately.
