About the art
Artist statement
I found the original image online through random google image searches and altered it in photoshop. The image was then printed on board and paint was added by traditional hand/brush means. The painting is coated with a clear gloss gel in a swirly brush mark pattern. This distorts the image and colors based on lighting and viewing angle. The subject matter alludes to rampant online consumerism that empowers and feeds the never-ending greed of the elite ie. Jeff Bezos and Jack Ma.
