About the art
Artist statement
This figurative sculpture has been created from multiple manipulated pieces of 12" vinyl music records. The lava-like form is directly inspired by the volcanic and geologically significant coastline of East Lothian, where Seona spends much of her spare time.
The female figure is mounted upon untreated Scottish oak, with copper mirror and black perspex detail. Seona's fine art practice and interest in geology contrasts with modern materials.
