About the art
Artist statement
This figurative sculpture has been created from one 12" vinyl music record - nothing has been added to the original circular material, nor removed. The label has been retained and matte varnished (The Many Faces of Led Zeppelin). Mounted on Scottish oak block with burnt mark-making and high gloss. Resonant of the classical 'Winged Victory of Samothrace'.
A male version of this sculpture is also available on The Artling and I'm happy to provide a discount when purchased as a pair.
The sculptures are caught in states of movement, dance and musing. Function becomes form.
