Artist statement
Hong Kong city's buildings are gigantic and imposing structures that dominate the landscape: the dense and chaotic arrangement of the buildings depicts a place that has lost touch with its natural surroundings and just became a concrete jungle.
With this double exposure shot, taken in Sheun Wan area, I wanted to imagine a future in which these buildings, once symbols of progress and modernity, became just relics of a glorious past, representing a society that has pushed its limits beyond its boundaries.
Limited edition of 25 printed on Pro Luster paper, 42x60 cm (comes with a white border for easy framing), with signed certificate of authenticity.
Available in larger sizes and other supports: if interested, please contact me for quotation (delivery time may be longer in this case).
Please note that the in-context photos show the framed artwork which is for reference only. As specified, the artwork will be sold unframed.
