Artist statement
In 2012, friends YEO Shih Yun and Alba Escayo reunited in Singapore for a collaborative series, weaving their artistic bond from Slovenia in 2008. Alba, hailing from Spain, infused her worldly inspiration, shaped by studies in Madrid and Bologna, using pigments that danced with vibrant blues. YEO Shih Yun, celebrated for uniting ink painting and contemporary mediums, added her dynamic touch. The series, a fusion of their growth and perspectives, resonated as a cherished moment of artistic unity.
