About the art
Artist statement
My artwork ‘Exposed in light and Exposed in light-code of life series’ started in 2015. This series is ongoing, and it's about light and life. It creates geometric shapes by attaching silk threads to the canvas and piling up paint to express proportionality, balance, and harmonious afterimages of light.
The process of attaching silk threads to the canvas is the work of purifying reflection and emotions in life and accumulating time. Make space by attaching silk thread to the canvas in various forms, and several coloring and drying processes are carried out with acrylic paint and medium. When I finished this process, finally, I create a color-field with oil paint and repeatedly overlap it to express an afterimage of light.
