About the art
Artist statement
Hornbills are distinctive creatures that come in different species. Among such species, three unique and popular species of hornbill - ' Rhinoceros Hornbill', (left) Great Hornbill (right) and the Malabar pied Hornbill ' (center) have been portrayed together in this composition with a lush tropical foliage background resembling their habitat. Unfortunately these beautiful species face threat due to habitat destruction and hunting. The work is a creative interpretation of a hopeful and better scenario where three species can co-exist in full glory.
Acrylic painting on canvas, varnished.
