Artist statement
The composition embodies freshness, purity and simplicity of nature in the form of vibrant colors and textures in the prime subject of the painting- ‘The White Umbrella Cockatoos’ in a tropical garden. Umbrella Cockatoos have pure white plumage and are known for their impressive crest which rise in an umbrella like fan. A deep and intense background is created with beautiful tropical foliage that complements the softness and balance of light in the portrait of the birds. These beautiful creatures are believed to be endangered species due to habitat loss.
