About the art
Artist statement
The artworks is inspired by my long walks in solitude along the sea in winter, by that special contrast of light between the dark blue skies and the light created by the movement of water. It's a feeling of unpredictability. You walk next to that water that could decide to become anything any minute.
I've used oils on wooden panel as the smoothness of the oil reminds me the softness of water... that velvet feeling when it touches your skin.
The wooden panel is 50x50cm (20x20in approximately)
The frame is 54x54cm (21x21in approximately)
At the back of the artworks there is the certificate of authenticity and hanging hardware.
It is framed with a wooden frame in a floating manner and the frame is hand painted in an off white colour showing the grain of the wood.
The painting brings a meditative and poetical mood to your interior.
