Shinrin Yoku 04

Watercolours Shin-rin yoku series, is born out of my experiences going to forests in Singapore and Vietnam, and learning to be in a forest, based on the Japanese forest therapy or often known as Forest Bathing. After two years of the pandemic isolations, the body needs to return to nature. My previous works are all grounded in practical observations of natural phenomenon such as; the nature of human, the nature of culture and place. This series is a return to the simplicity of being in nature. The forest is where we all need to be after a long time in urban cities on our phones and computers. This series is meant to be medicine, a return to our embodied nature.
