Artist statement
On a black canvas, as if in the endless stillness of night, the delicate silhouette of a butterfly appears. Its wings, nearly weightless, are painted with the softest transitions of white colour, like a breath of wind or moonlight. The lines are fine and fragile, conveying a sense of calm and quiet. The butterfly drifts through the space, seemingly untouched by reality, creating the illusion of weightlessness.
The painting seems to pause time, allowing the viewer to feel the serenity and beauty of the moment.
This artwork speaks of fragile harmony, of the fleeting nature of beauty, and of how something so subtle can leave a deep mark on the soul.
The painting took part in the 2022 International Exhibition “12 Months of Joy”, Rimini, Italy.
