About the art
Artist statement
In this oil painting on rough canvas, the artist accentuates the importance of deforestation, one of the biggest environmental subject nowadays, and how the human race is not giving this topic a second thought. Because of our over consumption, the forest has lost almost 100 million hectares on the planet in two decades, for agriculture purposes. The artist could not but denounce this.
We should be aware of the importance of trees in our life, how they truly are the lungs of the earth. Without these wonderful living organisms, we cannot survive.
