Artist statement
This is a sister painting of a previous painting made in 2021 titled 'Lily.'
Inspired by aerial landscapes, Japanese printmaking, clothing patterns, flowers, rice paddies, mountainous landscapes, and nature in general. The entire painting plays with foreground and background and uses gold leaf sheets/pen to tie the painting together. Underlying theme is to bring luck and good fortune.
There will be a gold floater frame that comes with the painting.
FRAME DETAILS:
2" deep and 5/16" gold face (front of the frame)
1/4" reveal or gap between the frame and painting.
