Serenity

I often find myself pondering questions like: How can I capture the movement of a bird in the wind with just a brushstroke? Or, how can I convey the subtle play of light moments before sunset in a fluid painting? These questions drive my artistic exploration, pushing me to transcend boundaries and prompt contemplation on the intricate interplay between the tangible and the abstract in my art.

I draw inspiration from everything, from the glowing dawn to dusk in the sandy Hiriketiya beach, the deep lush green wetlands, and dramatic waves around the Island, to the rustic textures of the Ussangoda. As an artist, my interest is not in leaving behind works of lasting value, or in taking pride in my skills, but rather in attempting to express myself and connect with my inner self.
